Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive:

• Your display name
• Your email address
• Your profile photo URL (if provided by Google)
• A unique user ID from the authentication provider

Transaction Information

When you purchase a status card, we record:

• The purchased card tier and associated guru
• Transaction ID and payment status
• Payment amount and currency
• Date and time of purchase

Payment processing is handled by Apple In-App Purchase (iOS) or Razorpay (web/Android). We do not store your credit card, UPI, or banking details.

User-Generated Content

If you submit a guru for listing on Sacred Gurus, we collect the information you provide including name, description, category, quotes, and uploaded images.

Usage & Diagnostic Data

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymised data about app usage and crashes. This helps us improve performance and fix bugs. This may include:

• Device type, OS version, and app version
• Screens viewed and features used
• Crash logs and error reports

Device Information

If you grant notification permission, we collect and store a device push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) linked to your account. This token is used solely to deliver transactional notifications — specifically to alert you when your status card is ready after a purchase. We do not use this token for marketing or advertising. You can revoke this at any time by disabling notifications for Sacred Gurus in your device Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To process purchases and deliver your status cards
• To display your name on purchased status cards (watermark)
• To maintain your purchase history in "My Statuses"
• To send you a push notification when your status card is ready after a purchase
• To moderate guru submissions
• To improve app performance and fix crashes
• To communicate important updates about the app

3. Third-Party Services

Sacred Gurus uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Firestore database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States (us-central1 region). We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Purchase records are retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• With payment processors (Razorpay, Apple, RevenueCat) to complete transactions
• With Firebase/Google for hosting, analytics, and crash reporting
• When required by law or to protect legal rights

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — Delete your account and personal data directly in the app (My Statuses → Delete Account) or by contacting us
• Opt-out of Analytics — Disable Firebase Analytics collection by contacting us
• Opt-out of Notifications — Disable push notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications → Sacred Gurus

You may delete your account at any time from within the app by navigating to My Statuses → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account and all associated profile data will be permanently removed. To exercise any other rights, contact us at contact@khenitech.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Sacred Gurus is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date below. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
